St. Hilarion Catstle in Kyrenia Cyprus; The castle is thought to be named after a saint who escaped Jerusalem after the Arab conquest and moved to Cyprus, where he lived and died in a cave on top of the mountains. Later, in the 10th century, a church and a monastery were built at the site. During the Lusignan period, with additions, the monastery was turned into a castle, used both for military and residential purposes. The upper parts of the castle and the Royal Palace were built in-between two hilltops. On the southern corner of the western wall of the palace is a Gothic window, known as the Queen's Window, through which one can see a spectacular view of the village of Karmi.
